Dublin weather today: Met Eireann says temperatures to plummet overnight following dry and settled day

It's going to be a brisk and foggy night in Dublin following a nice, settled Sunday.

Met Eireann is warning that temperatures are expected to drop to 0C in the capital overnight and will only reach 4C at their peak.

As for the daytime, we're looking toward a mostly dry day with a mixture of clouds and sunny spells.

There is a small risk of a light shower, but temperatures will reach 13C although conditions will be brisk.

Met Eireann says: "Largely dry today with a mix of cloud and sunny spells with just the small chance of a passing light shower. Highest temperatures ranging 10 to 13 degrees in brisk northerly winds.

"A cold night with long clear spells. A few patches of mist and fog will form as winds fall light. Minimum temperatures of 0 to +4 degrees with a slight grass frost possible."

Heading into the week, Monday is going to start off cold and similar conditions will continue throughout the week.

There won't be much rain until Wednesday when scattered outbreaks will begin with a risk of heavy conditions.

Thursday will be quite calm, but then it looks like Friday could be more unsettled with more rain on the way.
