Dublin weather today: Met Eireann predicts high temperatures of 19C as warning in place for Ireland

A good day is in store for the capital on Thursday as Met Eireann predicts a dry start with sunny spells and temperatures of 19C.

This is set to last throughout the day but as we head into the night, cloud will increase and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop.

Temperatures will dip as low as 13C with south to southwest winds strengthening overnight.

Friday will be damp and breezy to begin with as patchy rain, drizzle and mist hit Dublin.

As the day goes on though, sunshine will break through but will still be met with the odd shower.

Temperatures will reach around 17C with Friday night staying dry with long clear intervals.

As well as this, Met Eireann issued one marine warning on Thursday morning at 4am.

The status yellow, small craft warning will see northwest to west winds reach force 6 on Irish Coasts from Bloody Foreland to Fair Head to Belfast Lough.

Met Eireann added: "West to Southwest winds will increase to force 6 or 7 and gusty this afternoon and evening on Irish Coasts from Loop Head to Erris Head to Fair Head with the risk extending to All Irish Coasts tonight."
