Dublin is set to bask in a week of warm weather as Met Eireann has predicted sunshine and temperatures as high as 21C.

Today will start off dry with good sunshine but it’s set to change as clouds will bring patches of rain.

It will be mild with temperatures of 15C to 18C.

Tonight will be mild and windy with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle with minimum temperatures of 13C to 15C.

Wednesday will be a lovely day with rain clearing away quickly in the morning.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Rain will clear quickly on Wednesday morning to leave a bright and breezy day with sunshine and just a few passing showers.

“Maximum temperatures of 16C to 19C in fresh westerly breezes.

“It will start out dry on Wednesday night but rain will move into the west and north later in the night, turning heavy in places.

“Minimum temperatures 10C to 13C in moderate, locally fresh southerly breezes.”

Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures hitting 21C.

“However, the rain will ease during the afternoon and clear away to the east allowing drier, brighter and fresher weather to move in.

“Highest temperatures ranging 16C to 21C, warmest in the southeast of the country.

“Winds will be fresh southerly at first, veering west to northwest later. Dry on Thursday night with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5C to 8C.”
