Met Eireann has three warnings in place for Ireland today as Hurricane Lorenzo 'a severe risk' for weather in the country and the UK this week.
The ICON weather model which is a global weather prediction model has said that the beast could bring with it winds of 200km/h.
The 'tropical storm' is "likely to be in the vicinity" according to Met Eireann who say that Lorenzo will hit Ireland on Thursday.
They added: "It's exact track and central pressure is very uncertain as is the timing. It is possible it could track to the West of Ireland.
"It will become milder due to the influence of the tropical origin air.
"The risk of severe weather continues and the progress of Lorenzo and any potential impacts for Ireland are being closely monitored by Met Eireann."
