Dublin weather: Three back-to-back scorchers as Ireland hits heights of 22C say Met Eireann but warning in place

Met Eireann has promised three back-to-back scorchers this week as today, tomorrow and Saturday are set to be crackers with temperatures rising to as high as 22C.

And Sunday and Monday aren't bad either with the Celsius remaining in the high teens across the capital.

Today will be cloudy to start with patches of mist and fog but sunny spells will develop through the middle of the day with maximum temperatures of 22C.

These will fall to about 13C overnight making way for another cloudy and humid sleep in the cot.

Met Eireann does have one warning in place. A small craft warning has been issued meaning: "Southwest to west winds will occasionally reach force 6 on Irish coasts this afternoon and evening from - 1. Dungarvan to Mizen Head and 2. Rossan Point to Malin Head."

Here's how the next few days are looking:

Friday: "A mix of cloud and occasional sunny spells in the morning will give way to mostly cloudy conditions in the afternoon with patchy rain and drizzle at times. Maximum temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees, becoming cooler through the late afternoon. Winds will be moderate to fresh and southwesterly in direction."

Saturday: "Rain clearing the southeast early with a mix of cloud and sunny spells following from the west. Some occasional light rain or drizzle will however develop along the Atlantic coast throughout the day. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest winds."

Sunday: "Mostly dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in light to moderate northwest or variable winds. Sunday night: Mostly clear and dry with minimum temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in light northwesterly or variable breezes."

Monday: "Becoming mostly cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle developing along northern and eastern coasts. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly breezes."
