Dublin weather: Temperatures jump to double figures according to Met Eireann with 'dry, sunny' forecast following cold snap in Ireland

Following a period of freezing temperatures in the capital, the weather will begin to pick up this week.

Tuesday will be a cloudy day with patchy drizzle at times and temperatures reaching 9C.

This patchy drizzle and further cloudy conditions will stop temperatures from falling below between 3 and 5 degrees with light variable winds or calm conditions in the night time.

The Celsius will rise into the double figure mark on Wednesday though with temperatures hitting 11C matched with dry weather and sunny spells developing in the afternoon.

And on Wednesday night, temperatures will remain at a reasonable 3-4C with cool conditions.

Looking further into the week, Met Eireann say: "There'll be little change for Thursday and Friday, temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees, light variable or westerly breezes on Thursday becoming light southerly or southwesterly on Friday with a little patchy drizzle at times."
