Dublin Weather: Sunny spells could be finished as Met Eireann warn of weekend turn for Ireland

A misty cloud is set to take over Dublin tonight as Met Eireann have warned of patches blowing in from the sea.

In a sad change of pace, the forecasters have also said we're in for some light showers on Saturday but that it'll be mostly dry throughout the day.

It's been a scorcher of a few days in Dublin and the canal has seen a quick rise in revellers with many expected over the weekend.

Sadly for them it looks like Friday was the best day this week, but they can still celebrate the face we'll be getting a warm 13 degrees.

Met Eireann said: "Staying dry overnight with a mix of cloud and clear spells. A few mist or fog patches forming as winds fall light. Minimum temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.

"Turning mostly cloudy on Saturday morning with a few light showers moving in during the afternoon but it will be dry for most of the day.

"A few sunny spells developing in the evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate northerly or variable breezes."

Sunday will be a little better with "isolated" spots of rain.

"A mostly dry day with sunny spells, although there may be a few isolated spots of rain.

"It will be cool, with maximum temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees in the north and and east and 11 to 13 degrees in the west and south, in light to moderate northeast to east winds. Sunday night will be mostly dry and cloudy."
