Dublin weather: Odds slashed on Ireland having hottest Spring ever with record temperatures

Ireland could be set to experience its hottest Spring ever, right in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

The odds of the sun continuing to split the stones and bring record temperatures have plummeted in recent days.

Ladbrokes has seen odds slashed to 4/1 from 6/1 as Dublin is coated in sunshine.

Despite the rise in temperature, we are still being asked to keep using social distancing measures and avoid large crowds in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Ireland.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Met Eireann suggests the weather will turn later in the week but recent sunny spells has forced us to slash the odds on this being the hottest Spring yet.

"Many parts experienced record rainfall in February so warmer weather is certainly welcome.”

The current forecast for Dublin from Met Eireann shows that we can expect temperatures of up to 14C throughout the week.

But predictions for later in the week show that there's rain on the way, and some of that could even be wintry in parts.
