A mystery weather front is set to bring unusual conditions to Ireland this week warn Met Eireann as the country is hit with wet and windy weather.
There will be showers in Dublin on Wednesday morning, mostly dying out by midday.
It will be dry through the afternoon with good spells of sunshine in the evening.
Temperatures of 14C will drop to 6C with showers redeveloping alongside misty patches which will roll into Thursday morning.
The mystery over a wet weather front paints an uncertain picture for our weather later this week, but forecasters are hopeful that we will have a dry and even sunny start to the weekend.

Thursday: "A mainly dry day with a mix of sunny spells and well scattered showers. Highs of 12 or 13 degrees, in a light easterly breeze."
Friday: "Another mostly dry day on Friday with sunny spells and just a few scattered showers. A little more cloud than previous days. Highs of 11 to 13 degrees, in a light to moderate easterly breeze, fresh to strong on southern and western coasts."
Saturday: "A weather front will approach the southwest coast on Friday night and Saturday, bringing the threat of some rain or drizzle to southern and southwestern coastal counties. Elsewhere, mostly dry with bright spells and scattered showers. Highs of 12 or 13 degrees in a light to moderate easterly breeze."
Sunday: "It is likely that cloud will increase through Sunday, with rain crossing the country Sunday night. Highs of 11 to 14 degrees, in light southerly winds."
