Dublin weather: More misery for Ireland as heatwave ends with some bad low temperature news say Met Eireann

Met Eireann has some bad news regarding our temperatures this week in such a contrast from last week's glorious sunshine.

The National Forecaster say that our temperatures this week will "continue to remain below for this time of year" with the Celsius struggling to get into the mid-teens.

Thursday will start off rather cloudy this morning with outbreaks of light showery rain.

Rainfall amounts will be small and some areas may stay dry. It will brighten up later this afternoon with a few sunny spells by evening as showers become isolated.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees will drop to around 7C tonight remaining largely dry with clear spells and the odd scattered shower also.

Here's how the next few days are looking according to Met Eireann:

FRIDAY : "A cool, blustery day with sunshine and showers. Showers becoming isolated later in the day. Maximum temperatures of only 13 or 14 degrees. Northwesterly winds strengthening through the day, becoming strong on coasts."

SATURDAY : "A wet and windy start in the north, drier further south, with showers extending to all areas through the morning. The rain the north clearing to showers in the afternoon and evening, and remaining mostly cloudy in all areas throughout. A cool, blustery day with maximum temperatures of only 11 to 15 degrees, in a brisk northwesterly wind, which will be strong on coasts."

SUNDAY : "Mostly dry on Sunday, with a few showers in the north and west through the morning. Rather cloudy early on, but sunny spells will break through in the afternoon and evening, best in the south and east. Feeling a little milder than previous days in a light to moderate northerly breeze, with highs of 12 to 14 degrees in the north, 14 to 19 degrees in the south."

MONDAY : "Monday will be mostly dry with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells. Highs of 13 degrees in the north to 17 degrees in the south, in a light to moderate northerly breeze."

TUESDAY : "A dry start, with rain moving in from the Atlantic later in the day. Highs of 14 to 18 degrees."
