Dublin weather: More misery all over Ireland after urgent Met Eireann warning in long range forecast

Several days of miserable weather are set to be on the way for Dublin according to Met Eireann after they issued a weather warning in the west of the country for most of Monday night and into Tuesday.

Today and tomorrow will be filled with outbreaks of rain, which will be heavy at times.

Tuesday will see temperatures of 15C with misty and coastal fog developing also.

The night time will be a washout too with patchy rain and drizzle covering the capital with 11C temps.

Around Ireland is much of a muchness with a Met Eireann warning in place for three counties until 4pm today.

The status yellow, rainfall warning is in place for Galway, Mayo and Clare.

The warning means: "Heavy rain on Tuesday morning and afternoon leading to excess surface water. Accumulations of 20 to 40mm."

Here's how the rest of the week is looking so far.

There's a return to exciting 20C temperatures on Thursday but it's not too promising besides...

Wednesday: "It will see a mix of cloud and occasional sunny spells. Maximum temperatures of 12 or 14 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes."

Thursday: "Mostly cloudy in Munster and south Leinster with patchy rain and drizzle on southwestern and southern coasts. Brighter with sunny spells further north. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 16 in the northwest, 17 to 20 degrees elsewhere in light northerly breezes."

Friday: "Partly cloudy with occasional light showers in the northwest. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in light northwesterly breezes. Friday night: Mostly clear with minimum temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees and some mist and fog patches forming in light and variable breezes."

Saturday: "A mix of cloud and sunny spells, with patches of drizzle at times along northern coasts. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in light southeast or variable breezes. Saturday night: Mostly dry however rain will extending from the Atlantic to western parts by morning. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in northern parts, 11 or 12 degrees further south in light southerly breezes."



Further outlook: "Indications are that further rain and drizzle can be expected in western and northern parts Sunday but overall remaining mostly settled into early next week."
