Met Eireann is warning of unexpected changes in Ireland for this time of year as temperatures drop to 0C.
The National Forecaster predicts "unsettled weather with possibly some heavy rain and strong winds at times" this week.
They added: "Temperatures are a little above average for mid to late October".
The temperature gauge will drop to zero on Thursday night with minus numbers possible as the week goes on.
Today will be cool and breezy with a mix of sunny spells and isolated showers.
Temperatures of 13C will drop to around 7C remaining blustery in areas with showers overnight.
Here's what the rest of the week looks like:
Tomorrow: "Showers during the morning, dying out during the afternoon. Becoming mostly dry with good spells of sunshine, and feeling pleasant as winds ease. Highs of 13 or 14 degrees in a light easterly breeze."
Summary: "Mostly settled and dry with sunny spells and light winds until Saturday. Becoming more unsettled from Sunday, with wet and windy weather at times early next week."
Thursday: "A cool, crisp start with fog lingering in places. Then a mainly dry day with sunny spells. Highs of 12 to 14 degrees in a light easterly breeze. A cold night on Thursday night with lows of zero to 5 degrees."
Friday: "A weather front will flirt with the southwest coast on Thursday night and Friday, bringing the threat of some rain, but this will likely stay off shore, meaning we have another mostly dry day on Friday with sunny spells and just a few scattered showers. Highs of 11 to 13 degrees, in a light easterly breeze, fresh to strong on southwest coasts."
Saturday: "Mostly dry again on Saturday with sunny spells, however there may be some light rain or drizzle in southern and southwestern coastal counties. Highs of 12 or 13 degrees in a light easterly breeze."
Sunday: "It looks like our weather will become more unsettled from Sunday, with cloud increasing and rain pushing up from the south later in the day. Highs of 12 to 14 degrees, with southeasterly winds strengthening."
