Thunderstorms and hail are set to rock Dublin on Friday and Sunday as the weather takes a drastic turn this week.
Today will be wet and windy with rain for much of the day becoming heavy at times.
It will be fresh and gusty with temperatures of 13C dropping to a cool 4C remaining largely dry overnight.
Elsewhere, there are two status yellow rainfall warnings in place for Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry and Waterford until 6pm and Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Tipperary until 5pm.
Throughout this period, there will be flooding in places, reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions.
Here's the long-range forecast according to Met Eireann:
Tomorrow : "Largely dry on Thursday with good sunny spells. Cloud will increase later in the afternoon ahead of rain moving in from the west during the evening. Highest temperatures of 11 or 12 degrees in fresh and gusty southerly winds, strong on coasts."
Friday : "Rain will clear the east early in the morning and showers with sunny spells will develop throughout the country. Showers will be heavy and blustery, most frequent in the west and northwest with risks of hail and isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty southwest winds, backing south and easing during the evening as showers become more isolated."
Saturday : "Another band of rain will move in from the Atlantic early in the morning, moving eastwards, becoming patchier as it does so. Showers and sunny will follow in behind it, most frequent in the western half of the country. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees, dropping down to 5 to 8 degrees overnight. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds will be strong on coasts at times."
Sunday : "A windy day with fresh to strong and gusty west to southwest winds. Widespread showers will bring risks of hail and isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees."
Further outlook : "Some uncertainty in the forecast but current indications suggest that Monday will be a mild and largely dry day before becoming unsettled again for Tuesday."
