Dublin weather: Met Eireann predicts we're in for another breezy day with -3C temperatures creeping in by midweek

The wind will continue to blow us away across Dublin today as Met Eireann forecasts more breezy conditions.

We can expect some sunshine to make an appearance and while it may rain at points, it's not going to be too bad.

Temperatures are expected to reach 9C so it may feel a little bit colder with the wind.

As for tonight, it's going to get a bit wet with rain on the horizon. Temperatures will drop as low as 1C.

Met Eireann says: "Breezy today with sunny spells and just isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 8 or 9 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds.

"Mainly dry at first tonight but showers will develop later in the night and it will become blustery with fresh and gusty west to northwest winds. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees."

Heading into Tuesday it will be another dry and sunny day with temperatures reaching 10C.

But Tuesday night is when the real change will come, and it's going to get very cold across Ireland.

Met Eireann is warning that temperatures could drop as low as -3C with a sharp and severe frost settling in.
