Dublin weather: Met Eireann predicts 'extremely disturbed' conditions over weekend with high winds and storms on the way to Ireland

A cold start to the morning in Dublin, with frost on the floor and mist in the air.

Thankfully conditions will warm up slightly as the day goes on, with temperatures expected to reach 9C.

Hazy sunshine will make an appearance at points throughout the day, and winds will be lighter than yesterday.

But nighttime will once again bring sharp frost, and temperatures dropping as low as -1C before an "extremely disturbed" weekend.

Met Eireann says: "Frost and mist will clear this morning to give a cool dry day with hazy sunshine as there will be high cloud at times. Afternoon temperatures of about 8 or 9 degrees Celsius but winds will be light.

"Sharp frost tonight with temperatures falling to around zero or -1 Celsius in light breezes. The night will be dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells and some patchy mist or fog forming."

Thursday will bring more of the same cold turning to a dry, bright day with temperatures hitting 9C.

As for Friday, that's when Met Eireann is warning conditions will change with upper jet streams over Ireland and the UK bringing high winds and possible storms.

They continued: "Early frost clearing to give a dry bright day on Thursday with a good deal of cloud but sunny spells at times. A moderate southeast breeze developing and afternoon highs of 8 or 9 degrees Celsius.

"The weather will become extremely disturbed over the weekend and much of next week as the upper jet stream moves in over Ireland and the UK bringing extremely windy conditions possibly stormy at times."
