It will be blustery in the afternoon with temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in fresh or strong and gusty south to southwest winds veering westerly.

Much of Thursday night will be dry but rain will spread from the west later in the night and extend to all areas by Friday morning with fresh, gusty south to southwest winds.

Temperatures over Thursday night will drop to a low 5C before heading into Friday which will be dull to start with rain in many areas.

They added: "The rain will clear eastwards with scattered showers following from the west.

For the weekend, they said: "Saturday will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain. A blustery day with highest temperatures of 8 to 10.
