Dublin weather forecast: Met Eireann predict more see-saw temperature changes for Ireland

Those of us in Dublin will have noticed the weather improve somewhat over the past few days, and that shows no sign of letting up!

Temperatures on Tuesday will reach 14C  in some parts, in a mix of cloud and sunny spells.

However, temperatures will take a sharp nosedive at night, reaching as low as 0C in some parts of the capital.

Met Eireann said: "Tuesday will be dry with light winds and a mix of cloudy and sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees expected in light and variable winds."

As for Tuesday night, the forecasters said: "Tuesday night will be dry and cold with mostly clear skies. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with some frost over southern parts."

Much of the same weather on Wednesday will see more yoyo-ing, with temperatures set to drop to as low are -1C, with Met eEireann saying: "Good sunshine across the south and east, somewhat cloudier further north and west, especially through the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will range 11 to 14 degrees in gentle southwest breezes.

"Clear spells and patchy cloud overnight. Temperatures dipping to between minus 1 to plus 2 degrees under prolonged clear spells in Munster and south Leinster, but staying at 4 to 6 degrees under cloud cover further west and north."
