Dublin weather: Met Eireann predict 22C today for Ireland but there's bad weather on the way

Following our glorious few days of sunshine, Ireland is set to be rocked by rain and cloud again over the weekend.

Saturday will have a few bright spells but will be hit with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

The rain will be persistent in south Leinster especially but it will be brighten up as the day goes on with sunny spells developing.

Temperatures will reach a maximum of 22C but will drop rapidly as the night falls.

Met Eireann said that Saturday night will be mainly dry but quite cool with temperatures dropping as low as 5 degreess.

They say: "It will be milder and mostly cloudy in the southern half of the country, with a few patches of light rain or drizzle, mainly along the south coast. Temperatures here 12 to 15 Celsius.

On Sunday, it will be a dry day in most areas with some bright or sunny spells. Cloud will gather as the days goes on with patchy light rain and drizzle coming with it.

Temperatures will also reach 22C but there will be light winds and cool weather for the day.
