The remnants of Hurricane Epsilon will arrive in Ireland today with wet and windy weather forecast on Tuesday as well as the first signs of wintry conditions as we head to the end of October.
There will be cloudy outbreaks of rain today which will be followed by showers and sunny spells.
Some of these showers will be heavy with a risk of hail with temperatures sticking around the low teen mark.
Hurricane Epsilon, which has now been downgraded to a tropical storm, will bring stormy conditions to Ireland on Tuesday night.
However, Met Eireann aren't expecting any major weather event with the front having weakened over the Atlantic.
Tonight will be mostly dry with clear spells and just a few isolated showers.
Here's how the rest of the week is looking according to Met Eireann:
Wednesday: "Tomorrow will be a cool and blustery day. It will be mostly dry with sunny spells during the morning, but scattered showers will move in from the west during the afternoon and may be heavy at times. Moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds will persist and will be strong near the coast. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees."
Thursday: "Wet and windy with spells of rain in all areas. Rain will be heaviest and most persistent in western coastal counties with a heightened risk of flooding here. Milder than of late, with afternoon temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees, in fresh and gusty southwesterly winds, strong to near gale force along coasts in the west and south."
Friday: "A wet and breezy start is expected in southern areas on Friday morning, but most areas should see dry conditions during the afternoon, with winds easing too. However, further rain is expected to move into southern coastal counties by evening. Continuing mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees. Currently, wet and windy conditions are expected on Friday night, with rain pushing up from the south."
Next weekend: "Current indications suggest an unsettled weekend with further spells of rain and strong winds possible too. Staying mild on Saturday but turning cooler from Sunday."
