Dublin weather: Met Eireann issue yellow warning for 'dense fog' across Leinster

A weather warning has been issued for Dublin and all of Leinster with 'dense fog' on its way to Ireland.

Met Eireann have given the warning that kicks in from early Thursday at 5am and then continues on until at least 10am tomorrow.

The yellow warning for dense fog was issued this morning at 11am.

The bitterly cold conditions are going to continue, with temperatures dropping to 1C overnight with grass frost expected in parts.

Tonight's forecast heading into tomorrow says: "Dry tonight with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Mist and fog will form towards morning in a light westerly breeze. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees with a slight grass frost.

"Thursday will be mostly dry with fog lingering in some parts through the morning. Brighter spells and some sunshine will develop during the afternoon. Cool with highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in light variable breezes."

By the weekend, temperatures will drop even further with -2C forecast for Friday night.
