Dublin weather: Met Eireann issue overnight fog warning for all of Ireland

Met Eireann have issued an overnight fog warning for all of Ireland.

The yellow weather warning was issued at 10pm this evening, and will remain in place until 11am Thursday morning.

Foggy conditions can cause hazardous conditions for drivers as visibility rapidly decreases.

Dublin is expected to be hit with a particularly cloudy day with lingering mist and drizzle throughout.

The yellow warning says: "Dense fog in many areas overnight and for a time on Thursday morning."

While Met Eireann's forecast says: "Cloudy and misty overnight with fog becoming fairly widespread and dense in places. A mainly dry night with lows of 4 to 6 Celsius in light variable breezes.

"Fog will lift during the morning but it will remain rather cloudy with patchy mist and light drizzle. High of 7 to 9 Celsius in light westerly or variable breezes."

More mist and fog is expected as we head into the weekend, with rain also forecast for the capital.
