Dublin weather: Met Eireann forecasts 1C for Ireland as 'heavy and prolonged rain' hits capital

Met Eireann says that Dublin will be hit with 'heavy and prolonged rain on Tuesday as temperatures across the country remain low.

In Dublin, it will be cloudy but dry in the morning with a short spell of light rain around the middle of the day.

Temperatures will reach highs of 11C throughout the day before the capital is soaked with "heavy and prolonged rain" as the night goes on.

Across Ireland, the Celsius will drop to 1C with Dublin seeing temps fall as low as 2 to 5C.

Wednesday will be mainly dry in the morning with widespread showers coming later in the afternoon.

Temperatures will remain in the low double figures but the heavy and prolonged showers will stay too with fresh southeast winds.

Met Eireann added that the overview for the rest of the week is unsettled and wetter than normal.
