Dublin weather: Met Eireann forecast temperatures of up to 20 degrees as high pressure system remains

Met Eireann have forecast temperatures of up to 20 degrees over the coming days with high pressure to remain in charge.

This morning will be mostly dry and bright in Dublin with the chance of isolated showers. Cloud amounts will increase by the afternoon with well scattered showers but it'll brighten up later with long spells of evening sunshine. Highest temperatures will reach 13 to 15 degrees.

Tomorrow morning will start off dry and sunny in Dublin but cloud will increase through the morning and early afternoon. It will brighten up later in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in light to moderate northwest breezes.

While there is no further forecast for Dublin, here is what Met Eireann's national outlook says:

Wednesday

"Dry countrywide with hazy sunshine at first. Cloud will build over the northern half of the country through the morning and afternoon, with the odd spot of light rain or drizzle possible, most likely in the northwest. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees generally, a little cooler in parts of the northwest, in light to moderate southwest to west winds.

Thursday

"Dry with some sunny spells at first. Cloud will build from the west through the morning with some patchy light rain or drizzle following. Remaining drier and sunnier in the east and southeast. Later in the afternoon, the cloud will begin to break up with long spells of evening sunshine developing. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees generally in mostly light southwest to west breezes.

Friday

"Predominately dry with long spells of hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in light breezes.

Next weekend

"Current indications suggest that high pressure will remain in charge generating a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells and mostly light breezes. Highest temperatures in the high teens to low twenties."
