This week will be one of the hottest weeks on record this year as Met Eireann releases its long range forecast which sees temperatures floating around the mid-20s from today until next Monday.
Today, Wednesday will start off wet and breezy turning heavy in bursts at times but will clear by mid-afternoon.
After, it will be a dry day with sunny spells. Temperatures will reach between 20 and 22 degrees dropping to just 11C overnight remaining dry with clear spells.
There is still a weather warning in place down the country but it will not have a bad influence on the weather in the capital.
The status yellow rainfall warning for Clare, Cork and Kerry remains in place today until 1pm.
Here's the long-range forecast:
Tomorrow: "Thursday will be a mainly dry, warm, and sunny day. The best of the sunshine will be in the early part of the day, with cloud building later. Temperatures will reach between 20 and 22 degrees. Winds will be moderate southerly, fresh at times."
Friday: "Temperatures will still reach between 18 and 24 degrees with a fresh southwest wind, veering westerly later and moderating."
Saturday: "It will be dry with sunshine and light winds with temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees."
They added: "A similar day on Sunday with light variable or easterly winds giving higher temperatures in the west of the country, up to 22 degrees possible there."
Next week: Currently the early days of next week promise a good deal of dry weather with temperatures around typical for the time of year.
