Happy Friday everyone!
Couldn't sleep last night? Stuck to the bed because of the unbearable heat?
Or maybe you stayed up celebrating the mighty Reds' first Premier League ever and first league title in 30 years?
Or were you having the same reoccurring nightmare where Liverpool continue to dominate England for the next decade?
Either way, we have some good and bad news on the weather front for Friday.
While a status yellow thunder warning is still in place for the capital until 8am, Dublin will see a temperature burst in the afternoon and throughout.
The warning for Dublin, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow, Meath and Clare is valid from 4am and 8am.
Met Eireann warned that the thunderstorms could have localised heavy downpours and spot flooding but that due to the localised nature of the storm, some areas would remain dry.
But it will become generally dry with sunny spells staying warm and humid with highest temperatures of 23C today.
Tonight will see showery rain with some heavy bursts possible with lowest temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees and some mist and fog likely to form.
Here's how the weekend and the next few days are looking:
Saturday: "Further frequent showers tomorrow and cloudy at first but brightening up through the afternoon with the showers becoming more scattered. Winds mostly moderate and westerly in direction and highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees."
Sunday: "Wet and dull for much of Connacht and Ulster on Sunday, elsewhere drier, brighter conditions with scattered showers. Highest temperatures 14 to 18 degrees generally, a little cooler under cloud in the north. Moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds, strong along west and northwest coasts."
Monday: "A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, the showers most frequent in the north and west. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees with a moderate to fresh westerly breeze that will be strong at times along the western coast."
Further outlook: "Current indications suggest our weather will continue changeable with rain or showers at times, but dry interludes will occur too. Temperatures close to average or slightly below."
