Dublin weather: Four days of 20C+ but not all good news for Ireland after urgent thunderstorm warnings by Met Eireann

Met Eireann has said that the next four days in a row will hit the 20C+ mark but sadly it's not all good news after their urgent thunderstorm warnings.

Tuesday will start off warm with sunny spells but there is the risk of heavy showers breaking out and that the high temperatures may spark off yet another thunderstorm.

It will be mild overnight with showers at times and overnight lows of 11 or 12C.

Wednesday and Thursday will also see these high temperatures but the risk of showers will continue to linger in the background as the prospect of rain haunts us until the weekend.

Here's how the next few days are looking:

Wednesday : "Cloudy with showers some heavy during the morning but the showers should become more scattered in the afternoon with good dry periods and sunny spells. Winds light variable or possibly northerly and afternoon highs of 19 or possibly 20 degrees Celsius with moderate sea breezes on the coast in the afternoon."

Thursday : "Bright spells and scattered showers on Thursday, some heavy in parts of the east and southeast but there will be dry bright periods also. However more persistent rain will move into eastern counties during the afternoon and evening. Afternoon highs of 16 to 20 degrees Celsius in very light northerly breezes."

Friday : :Persistent and at times heavy rain Thursday night will clear during Friday morning, with sunny spells developing but there will be some showers in western counties. Winds will be light southwesterly with afternoon highs of 16 to 20 degrees Celsius highest in eastern areas."

Weekend : "Changeable and breezy over the weekend. There will be some rain at times in most places, with some heavy falls in places on Saturday and again later Sunday but there will be dry bright periods also, especially in eastern areas. Breezy on Saturday with highs of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius and fresh southwest winds, temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees on Sunday in southerly winds."
