Dublin weather forecast: We're in for a sunny bank holiday weekend but keep those coats handy

The bank holiday is here and the sun is set to come out - but keep those coats handy.

The morning got off to a showery start in some parts of Dublin but Met Eireann is forecasting a clear, dry and sunny afternoon.

However, it will still feel a little nippy with highest temperatures of 11C to 13C.

But that's all set to change tonight with a cold evening ahead as temperatures drop as low as -1 degrees with frost in places.

There's a similar outlook for tomorrow with a forecaster predicting: "Sunday will be dry with good spells of sunshine.

"Highest temperatures 11 to 13 degrees with very light variable breezes."

Highest temperatures  are set to reach 9C to 12C.
