Dublin weather forecast today: Met Eireann predict 24C for Ireland as two WARNINGS in place but a change could be on the way

The good weather isn't over just yet for Ireland as Met Eireann predicts highs of 24C for Wednesday but it could be the last day of unchallenged bliss.

It will be mostly cloudy on Wednesday with a few showers possible. Winds will be mostly moderate and southerly in direction.

Looking into Thursday, it will be a generally cloudy start to the day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

There will be highs of 23C with warm and humid weather but the high mercury could be dampened by showery rain and possible mist patches.

These outbursts will be heavy in the southwest and west with the slight chance of a thundery burst.

It will become drier and brighter in most areas through the late afternoon and evening with a few sunny spells developing.

As well as this, there is a marine and environmental warning in place for the whole of the country.

The status yellow, small craft warning means that "Southerly winds, veering southwesterly, will reach force 6 at times today on Irish coasts from Slyne Head to Rossan Point Malin Head.

"Southeasterly winds will increase to fce 6 or 7 later today and tonight on Irish coasts from Roches Point to Valentia to Rossan Point."

There is also a status yellow blight warning in place and Met Eireann states: "Weather conditions conducive to the spread of potato blight will develop across Ireland all this week."

Across the pond, a thunderstorm warning is in force across the UK today, ahead of a 38C record-breaking scorcher tomorrow.
