It's shaping up to be a grim start to the weekend as strong winds and rain are predicted to hit the city today.
Today will be warm and mainly dry, with temperatures of 18 to 20C, with fresh to strong southwesterly winds.
But as the night draws in, heavy rain is expected to fall.
Fortunately, it looks like the rest of the weekend will be a little better, with only occasional showers forecast.
Saturday will see temperatures of 16 to 18C with occasional fresh westerly breezes.
Fans heading to the All Ireland Football Final on Sunday may escape a drenching, with scattered showers predicted and highs of 14 to 17C.
Early next week will see occasional outbreaks of rain but overall a good deal of dry weather.
Temperatures will be around normal for early September.
