Dublin weather forecast: Met Eireann predict another glorious day of sunshine but there's rain on the way

It's looking like we're set for another day of glorious sunshine across the city with Met Eireann predicting top temperatures of around 21C.

But the lovely weather may not be sticking around much longer, with rain forecast from Tuesday evening.

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle are expected to develop by early Tuesday evening and will continue though to Wednesday morning.

And we can expect the rest of the week to be much the same.

The national forecast reads: "On Wednesday morning, rain and drizzle over the eastern half of the country will clear to the east.

"The rest of the day will be bright with sunny spells and some scattered showers, these mainly over the western half of the country.

"Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with moderate west to southwest breezes.

"Early on Thursday, showery rain will develop in the west and northwest and will spread eastwards across the country.

"It will clear later in the day with sunny spells and a few showers following. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees with fresh south to southwest winds.

"On Friday, persistent or heavy rain will spread eastwards across the country. It will clear through the evening and early night.

"Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees with fresh south to southwest winds, which will veer west to northwest as rain clears."
