Dublin weather forecast: Great news for Westlife fans as warm sunny evenings predicted for Croke Park shows

Over 100,000 music fans will head to Croke Park this weekend for Westlife's first Irish gig in seven years and it looks like the weather gods will be smiling on them.

While there may be the odd spot of drizzle this morning, that's expected to give way bright, sunny spells by the evening with top temperatures of between 19 and 22C.

There is a chance of occasional light drizzle tonight but this will clear to become drier and brighter by Saturday evening with temperatures between 18 and 20C.

Looking ahead to next week, Met Eireann say to expect some cloudy conditions but it will still be very warm.

The forecaster says: "Sunday: Mostly cloudy conditions look set to prevail across southern and western parts of the country with a few spots of light rain or drizzle in places.

"Brighter and mainly dry elsewhere though, with the best of any sunshine across Ulster and north Leinster.

"Top temperatures will range from 16 to 21 degrees, in light variable or northwesterly breezes.

"Becoming mainly dry on Sunday night with variable cloud amounts and some clear intervals. Lows of 7 to 12 degrees, coolest in Ulster. Light variable breezes.

"Monday: Early bright or sunny spells will soon give way to increasing cloud.

"Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread from the west during the day, affecting mainly the northern half of the country.

"Humid with top temperatures to 16 to 22 degrees in light southwest or variable breezes.

"Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

"Warm and humid with temperatures in the high teens and low 20s. Light westerly breezes.

"Wednesday and Further Outlook: Continuing rather humid with a mix of bright or sunny spells and rain or showers at times."
