It's shaping up to be a reasonably warm and dry day in the capital but those heading to Sunday's All Ireland Final may be in for a soaking.
Thursday will see a few outbreaks of rain but overall a good deal of dry and bright weather with some sunshine breaking through with highs of 17 and 19C.
It will be rather blustery and the windy weather will continue on in to Friday, with rain forecast for most of the day.
Looking ahead to Sunday's Croke Park showdown, a mixed day is in store with the exact weather uncertain.
Experts are predicting both sun and rain across the country.
But Dublin could make a lucky escape, with the worst of the "heavy showers" expected in the northwest.
Met Eireann are predicting "fresh and cool on Sunday with sunny spells and scattered showers.
"Again some of the showers could be heavy, especially in the northwest with the risk of hail and thunder.
"Top temperatures just 14C to 17C with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds."
