Dublin weather forecast: Fresh start to the All-Ireland Final weekend but the sun hasn't gone for good

After a fresh start to Saturday, Met Eireann has some good news for the day ahead... whether you're a Kerry or a Dubs fan.

We can expect some showers in the capital as Saturday draws on, but the experts are tipping lots of dry weather and generous bouts of sunshine, even if the mercury doesn't quite reach the heights of last week.

Here's what the Glasnevin-based climate gurus are forecasting for the capital this All-Ireland weekend.

Saturday's weather in Dublin

"A bright and fresh morning in gusty northwest winds. Some passing showers will develop through the day but there will continue to be a good deal of dry weather with good periods of sunshine. Feeling fresher with highs of 14 to 17 degrees."

Saturday night

"Mostly dry and clear overnight but cooler with lows of 7 to 9 degrees in westerly breezes."

As for all Ireland day itself, well it's looking like more of the same, though there's a good chance the ball will be slippy at Croke Park as the Dubs look to make history in their Drive for Five.

Here's what Met Eireann are tipping for Dublin on Sunday:

Sunday's weather in Dublin

"Little overall change for Sunday, a bright and fresh day with good sunshine and occasional showers.

"However some of the showers may merge into a longer spell of rain during the afternoon. Highs of 15 to 17 degrees in moderate westerly breezes."
