Dublin Weather Forecast: Cool, cloudy finish to the Bank Holiday weekend signals a change for the worse this week

As if having work tomorrow on the horizon isn't gloomy enough, we're in for a cool, cloudy Bank Holiday Monday across Dublin.

Met Eireann is forecasting a dry, calm day with some hazy sunshine, however watch out for the odd light shower and keep yourself wrapped up - especially near the coast.

Temperatures are set to reach just 10C-12C, coolest near seaside areas.

Bank Holiday Monday weather: As UK is hit with 'polar plunge' of sleet AND snow, here's what Met Eireann says Dublin will be like today

It'll stay mostly dry overnight apart from some misty rain in places, but temperatures are set to drop from 3C to 7C.

Tuesday will bring some bright and sunny spells, but also well scattered showers in some areas.

A forecaster said: "Still feeling a little cool with highest temperatures 9 to 12 degrees Celsius, best values inland.

"Southeast breezes will be mostly moderate and fresher along the coast."
