Dublin weather forecast as Met Eireann warns of unsettled week ahead after 24C temperatures and sunshine

It may be a gloomy and drizzly morning, but things are looking up in Dublin before the day is out.

Temperatures are expected to reach 24C in the capital today, so don't lose hope just yet.

Good sunny spells are forecast by Met Eireann for the afternoon and evening,  and will round out the weekend nicely.

As for tonight, it's expected to be mostly dry and won't be too cold, with temperatures dropping to 10C at their lowest.

Met Eireann says: "Today will be mainly dry, apart from a few spots of rain or drizzle and rather warm. There will be some broken cloud at first but it will brighten up with good sunny spells developing during the afternoon and evening. Top temperatures of 22 to 24 degrees in light variable or westerly breezes.

"Tonight will be mostly dry with clear spells. Winds will be light variable or southwesterly with some mist patches forming. Lowest temperatures will be around 10 to 13 degrees."

Monday is due to be a dry day, but temperatures will dip slightly to 21C.

Tuesday is when things will become more unsettled with rain on the way.

Wednesday and Thursday will round out the unsettled week, with Met Eireann saying that current indications show an unsettled Friday and weekend ahead.
