Dublin weather forecast as Met Eireann predicts more thundery rain and hail for the capital

Dublin is set to see another day of mixed weather on Monday, with some sun as well as thundery rain ensuring all the seasons will be on show in the capital.

While the temperatures will hover between 18 and 22 degrees, there is a chance we will see HAIL and thundery rain.

It comes after a national yellow weather warning saw heavy rain come to Dublin on Sunday night, after a reasonably pleasant start to the day.

Met Eireann says: "Dull and misty at first on Monday, then brightening up through the morning.

"Scattered heavy showers developing in the late morning and afternoon, some prolonged with a risk of hail and thunder.

"Warm and humid with highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees, in light to moderate easterly breezes."

As for the rest of the week, thunder as well as hot temperatures are predicted across the country, with a maximum of 28C being touted for Friday afternoon.
