Dublin weather forecast: Another warm day but rain set to hit this evening

The city is waking up to another glorious morning but make the most of it while you can because a big change is on the way.

Temperatures will hit 21C again today but patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop towards the evening and it's set to get worse as the week goes on.

There will be mist and fog patches tonight with low temperatures of 10 to 13C.

Wednesday will be see a dull and damp start with a few passing showers during the day and top temperatures of 17 or 18C.

Met Eireann's national forecast predicts a blustery day on Thursday with top temperatures of 16 to 19C and the east will escape most of the rain.

And Friday is shaping up to be an increasingly wet day for most of the country.

The forecaster says: "Eastern areas may start out fairly dry at first, but outbreaks of rain look likely to spread to most parts during the day. Top temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

"Fresh and gusty southwest winds will fall away light southerly or variable for a time in the afternoon and evening.

"Wet and windy on Friday night, potentially very wet in some parts with a risk of spot flooding. Lows of 9 to 13 degrees."
