Dublin weather: Following snow warning, Met Eireann predicts sunny and dry double temperatures for Ireland

Following a snow/ice warning for the whole of Ireland, Met Eireann predicts sunny and dry weather with the odd shower for the capital with temperatures hitting well over double temperatures this week.

Wednesday will be a bit milder than recent days with some cloudy weather with patchy rain and drizzle at times.

It will turn dry later on with temperatures of 10C dropping to a low 3C in the night time with thickening cloud and outbreaks of rain spreading overnight.

Thursday will start out cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle following.

The afternoon will be brighter with some sunny spells developing and temperatures reaching 12C.

For Friday, Met Eireann says: "Outbreaks of rain in the morning will clear to make way for mostly dry conditions for a time with sunny spells and isolated showers.

"There will be highs of 10 to 12 degrees. Moderate southwesterly winds will freshen and become gusty through the afternoon."

Looking to the weekend, current indications from Met Eireann suggest a dry and bright day on Saturday but rain will sweep across the country overnight on Saturday, clearing for showers and sunny spells on Sunday.
