More sunshine is promised to be on the way for Ireland say Met Eireann but there will still be the chance of flooding as we head into the second part of the week.
Sunny spells are forecast for today and over the weekend but tomorrow, Thursday, will be miserable with heavy rain, cloudy conditions and flooding torturing the capital in the aftermath of Storm Francis.
Wednesday morning will be dry with sunny spells but some showers will pass by in the evening time with temperatures of 18C dropping to 11C overnight remaining dry throughout.
Here's how they forecast the next few days will pan out:
Tomorrow: "Thursday will be mostly cloudy with spells of rain, which will be heavy at times, with a risk of localised flooding in places. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees with light to moderate easterly breezes."
Summary: "Showers on Friday. Mainly dry over the weekend. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with mainly light northerly breezes."
Friday: "It will be a cool, breezy day with sunshine and showers, these heaviest and most frequent in the east. It will become mainly dry later in the day, with showers becoming confined to east and north facing coastal areas. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with fresh, gusty northerly winds, which will gradually ease later."
Saturday: "It will be largely dry with sunny spells. there may be a few showers near north and west coasts. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with moderate northerly breezes."
Sunday: It will be largely dry with sunny spells and light variable breezes. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees.
Monday: "It will start off dry. However, rain will develop in the west during the day and will spread to all areas. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees with moderate southeast winds."
Tuesday: "Rain will continue for much of he day, but will clear later. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with moderate easterly winds."
They added: "Current indications suggest that Wednesday and Thursday of next week will bring some rain or showers, but a fair amount of dry weather also and it will become a bit milder."
