Dublin weather: Big change on the way as scorching temperatures come to an end

Dublin is set to bask in balmy temperatures once again today but Met Eireann has warned the Indian summer is soon set to end.

Mist and fog patches will clear this morning and bring another dry and sunny day with top temperatures of 21C.

But things will begin to get cooler over the weekend before things take a turn for the worst early next week.

Highest afternoon temperatures on Friday will drop to between 16 and 19C.

We can expect much the same from Saturday through to Monday but the national forecast warns of unsettled weather after that with rain and blustery winds on the way.

Here's how things are looking for the weekend:

Saturday: Another dry day with good sunshine in many areas. It will feel somewhat fresher with top temperatures of 15 to 19C. Dry and mostly clear on Saturday night with just a few pockets of mist or fog and minimum temperatures of 7 to 10C.

Sunday: Highs of 16 to 19C with moderate northeast breezes. Staying dry on Sunday night with clear spells but mist and fog is expected to form quite widely in the light winds. A cool night with lowest temperatures of 6 to 9C.

Monday: Fog will clear to another predominantly dry day with good sunshine in many areas. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20C in moderate southwest winds.
