Dublin weather: Because most pubs in Ireland are closed, 23C scorcher promised ahead of Bank Holiday Weekend just to spite us

What we'd give to have all the pubs open ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Especially when today is set to be a scorcher with dry and bright weather hitting and sunny spells bringing temperatures of 23C.

Imagine settling into a nice little beer garden today at 5pm and not having to worry about work for three days.

We're not crying, YOU'RE crying...

Anyways you'll be happy come night time that you're not standing outside waiting for a taxi because it's going to get cooler with scattered showers promised - nothing worse than being stuck on Camden Street in the pissing rain at 3am with taxis whizzing by you.

Tomorrow will be much of the same and will bring sunny spells and showers.

The showers will be well scattered during the morning, but will become more frequent and occasionally heavy during the afternoon and evening with temps of 18C.

Friday may look deceiving but don't be fooled because the weekend is set to be unsettled with below average temperatures.

Sure who needs the pubs, not me anyway... a-huh-huh-huh

Here's how it looks for Sunday on according to Met Eireann:

SUNDAY: "On Sunday there will be sunny spells and showers in most areas, with showers most widespread in northern areas. It will become cloudy in the southwest during the afternoon however, with rain expected to affect south Munster later in the afternoon and into the evening. Similar temperatures to Saturday with maxima of 15 to 19 degrees, in mostly light west to southwest breezes."

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY: "Most areas will stay dry on Monday with sunny spells during the morning, but turning increasingly cloudy as the day goes on. There will be a few light showers in northern areas too. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with light west to northwest breezes."

TUESDAY: "It will be a cloudy and wet day, with rain in western areas early in the morning spreading countrywide through the morning and afternoon. Moderate southerly winds in most places, but freshening in the southwest with strong winds near coasts here. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees."

WEDNESDAY: "Brighter with a mix of sunshine and showers and highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees."

FURTHER OUTLOOK: "Remaining unsettled for the rest of the week with further showers or spells of rain, but becoming milder too."
