Dublin weather as warning in place by Met Eireann for Ireland with temperatures hitting double figures

Temperatures will break the double figure mark today while the weather will remain mostly dry in the capital according to Met Eireann.

Friday will start with outbreaks of rain and drizzle at first before clearing and leaving some misty trails.

There will be patches of drizzle and fog mainly on hills and coasts with persistent rain and drizzle returning on the coast later in the day.

Temperatures will stay between the 10-13C mark with mostly moderate to fresh southerly winds.

For tonight, Met Eireann say: "Rain and drizzle will clear northwards and it will become dry in most areas, but mostly cloudy, with mist and drizzle persisting in places, especially on coastal and hills.

"There will be hill and coastal fog also. Mild, with minimum temperatures of 8 to 10 Celsius, in moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong on Atlantic coasts.

They added: "Tomorrow, Saturday, will be another mild and mostly cloudy day, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle becoming widespread again clearing northwards later.

"Mainly dry elsewhere, but misty, with hill and coastal fog. Maximum temperatures 9 to 12 Celsius, in fresh to strong southerly winds."

There is also a status yellow, small craft warning in place for Ireland which will see southerly winds reaching force 6 or higher today on Irish Coasts from Roches Point to Slyne Head to Belfast Lough.
