As Met Eireann forecasts 'snow' and two days of 'wintry showers' for parts of Ireland, it says Dublin will remain dry with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of which may turn wintry on high grounds.
Sunday will be bright and breezy with sunny spells and passing showers mainly occurring in the afternoon according to the forecaster.
Temperatures will hit a maximum of 12C before dipping to a low 2C in the night time with fresh southwest winds.
Showers will continue for a time early tonight but these will become increasingly isolated later in the night with good clear spells developing.
It will turn quite chilly as the night goes on with a patchy ground frost forming by dawn.
For Monday, they say: "It will be a cold and blustery day with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of the showers turning wintry on high ground.
"Top temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees in fresh and gusty westerly winds."
They added: "There will be further showers across Connacht and Ulster on Monday night and these will turn increasingly wintry with localised falls of sleet and snow.
"The showers will be fairly isolated elsewhere with good clear spells. A cold night with minimum temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees with a patchy frost."
Looking further into the week, they said that the weather will be changeable with Tuesday and Wednesday dry in most areas.
