Dublin weather as Met Eireann reveal weekend forecast for Ireland with 'slight risk of frost' possible

Met Eireann say that the weekend will be a mixed bag of weather with high pressure being a dominant influence.

Friday will be a cool, dry and bright day with good sunny spells and highs of 7C.

The night time will be cold with a mix of cloud and clear spells with temperatures dipping to 3C with a slight risk of frost.

Saturday will be a mostly dry day with variable cloud cover and some bright or sunny spells.

There will be a slight chance of the odd spot of rain and drizzle on Saturday with isolated mist patches especially on hills and coasts.

For Sunday, Met Eireann says: "It will be breezy and rather cloudy overall but staying mainly dry elsewhere with some sunshine breaking through at times.

"There will be highs of 9 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong and gusty near coasts.

"Increasingly windy on Sunday night, with cloud thickening countrywide and rain pushing in off the Atlantic towards morning."

Looking to next week and there will be a blustery start to Monday in fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds, near gale to gale force at the coasts, with a spell of heavy rain extending eastwards over the country.

Many places will be dry at first on Monday night, but cloud will soon thicken and further outbreaks of rain will move in over the country from the Atlantic overnight.
