Dublin weather as Ireland to get 'frost free nights' but it's not all good news

Dubliners can look forward to "frost free nights" all this week but it's not all good news as the capital will be hit with spells of rain almost every day, according to Met Eireann.

Sunday will start as a dry but rather misty and foggy day which will remain dry but dull during daylight hours.

As the evening goes on, it will turn wet with temperatures staying between 6-8C overnight.

There will be scattered outbreaks of rain into the nighttime with the odd heavy burst.

Foggy conditions will affect visibility in some spots with mostly moderate easterly breezes.

Monday will follow a similar pattern with a dull day promised with scattered falls of rain and local mist.

There will be longer drier spells but it will stay overcast with temperatures hitting highs of 12C.

Speaking about the outlook for the rest of the week, Met Eireann said: "Low pressure into next week will make for further unsettled conditions. It will be rather dull generally with showery spells of rain occurring most days."

They added: "However, it should become somewhat drier by Friday. Temperatures will be around normal, with mostly frost free nights."
