Dublin weather: 11C temperature SWING as Met Eireann forecast two days of 'wintry showers' for Ireland this week

Met Eireann has predicted two days of wintry showers for the capital as temperatures reach double temperature highs and minus lows throughout this week.

Monday will be dry with some sunny spells at times with maximum temperatures of 13C dropping to 4C overnight with moderate southerly breezes.  

Tuesday will be mostly dry, with bright spells at times, but with a good deal of cloud.

There is a small chance of a few spots of light rain or drizzle at times.

It will be mild, with maximum temperatures of 13 or 14C.

Looking to the end of the week, Met Eireann has said that there will be two days of wintry showers with minus temperatures forecast.

Friday will be cold and mostly dry, with sunny spells. A few scattered showers will occur, turning wintry on Friday night mostly near coasts.

Temperatures will drop to a low -1C with a risk of wintry showers also expected on Sunday and Sunday night with frost overnight too.
