Dublin vs Kerry All-Ireland Final replay: What happens next if another draw plays out next Saturday

Dublin and Kerry's All-Ireland Final replay will not be decided on the day if it is still a draw after extra time.

And the GAA have confirmed that the two sides would have to run it back once more on Saturday, September 28 if the scores are still even.

Further still, they will play less extra time than we would see in a provincial final if it is tied after 70 minutes.

A provincial final sees a 20 minute extra-time period, split into two halves, if the game is a draw, followed by an extra 10 minutes split in two halves and, as of this season, a shoot-out if the scores are still tied after all that.

But Dublin and Kerry will only play the first extra-time period, 20 minutes split into two halves, should they be tied after the standard 70.

No All-Ireland finals, football or hurling, have ever gone to a third replay, so Jim Gavin and Peter Keane would be leading their teams into uncharted waters if they remain level after 90 minutes in Croke Park next Saturday evening.
