Dublin traveller feud: Man punches rival driver in heated video as dangerous gang dispute escalates and call-out videos issued

This is the crazy moment a man clatters a car driver in the head twice during a heated row that's part of a deadly split in the Dublin travelling community.

The dangerous feud has escalated in recent weeks with several call out videos being issued back and forth among two families containing insulting slurs and attacks on different members of each group.

But words turned to actions recently as footage obtained by Dublin Live shows one man in a yellow vest firing two hits at a man who is sitting in the driver's seat of a white car.

The attacker can be heard saying "that was you" to which the driver replies "I didn't do anything to you".

It is suspected that the conversation between the pair related to comments made about the attacker's father in a previous slam-video.

It's at that point when the man swings for the person in the driver's seat, connecting with him twice before he speeds away around the corner.

In further footage viewed by Dublin Live, the attacker can be heard saying "I'm a man. Come on, come out and fight me" while walking up an estate in the area.

He can also be seen taking his mouth shield in and out of his mouth - an indication that he had come prepared for a bare knuckle brawl.

The video then zooms onto a house where the driver has parked his car outside as the attacker continues to wait for him.

Addressing the camera, the yellow vested striker introduces himself.

He says: "I'm here. I'm ready to fight" before shadow boxing in the middle of the quiet road and goading the driver to come out.

He continues: "I'm the real deal. Come out and fight me.

"He gave my auld fella cheek. I hit him a couple of clouts and he went running into the house.

"I'll fight for my family. But look at him, he's there in his car.

"I hit him two shots and he went into his hiding bay. I don't give a f***."

A source told Dublin Live that tensions have been building in the area for weeks and there are fears that there will be blood among the two rival groups.

They said: "The driver in the car was dissing the attacker's dad and uncle and this incident was in response to that.

"There have been several call-out videos back and forth between the two families containing the usual insults and backs and forths.

"The man in the yellow vest was ready for a fight but the driver decided to take the more sensible option and get away.

"There is a lot of trouble now in the area because of it and it's only a matter of time before blood is shed."
