A teenage boy who was left in a critical condition after an alleged 'pre-planned fight' has spoken out publicly for the first time over a year after the attack.
Adam McDonnell from Donabate was only 17-years-old when he was found unconscious in the early hours of September 2.
The teen and his friends met with another group of youths outside a cafe in Airside Retail Park before the alleged 'organised fight' broke out.
Adam was knocked to the ground and smacked his head on the footpath leaving him hospitalised with a serious brain injury.

Worried family and friends were unsure at the time if the attack was something that Adam was going to survive from but he has taken to Facebook thanking God that he's still alive.
He said: "Everyone might think I’m grand, but the things that go through my head since a year ago are going to keep on going through my head and it’s hard to deal with them to be honest.
"But look I’m still alive thank god I'm lucky I’m still here but look it’s life do what you want to do, at the end I prefer good results not bad.
"It is hard to deal with everything that happened me and I’m overthinking everything but sure look some day I’ll be grand have to keep my head high and work a lot harder to gain my goals."
He concluded: "God is always there for me no wonder I’m still here."
