Dublin TD's warning after 'dangerously misleading' Covid leaflets put in letterboxes

A Dublin politician has slammed "dangerously misleading" COVID-19 leaflets that were put through letterboxes in a seaside town.

Joe O'Brien TD for Dublin Fingal's comments came after a number of pamphlets supposedly carrying "grossly inaccurate" information on the deadly virus were distributed in Skerries.

Mr O'Brien has appealed to the people of the north Dublin town to discard the leaflets and get information from the official government websites.

The Green Party TD said on Facebook: "Today in Skerries there are individuals posting dangerously misleading leaflet about Covid through letterboxes in the town.

"The details on the leaflet are grossly inaccurate, if you require information about Covid-19, the symptoms and testing please ensure you get it from trusted sources such as the HSE website.

"If you receive the below leaflet (blurred for safety) please dispose of it."
